Pubfight is gearing up, and this time we want the West Coast to represent, yo. We’ll talk about it at tomorrow’s meeting, but for now you can go here and check out the details.
The Toronto teams have already started bidding, but BookNet is going to give us until the end of the month to get our teams together. Here’s the official announcement:
PubFighting on the West Coast!Are you ready to PubFight? If you have access to BNC SalesData and have always wondered why there were fantasy leagues for things like hockey and baseball but not one for book publishing, playing PubFight will be like coming home. The game begins in July 2008 and will run until January 2009. Your goal? Bid against your fellow league members to acquire real fall titles (with fake money) then manage your stock levels throughout the fall season to make sure you have enough on hand to match real sales, as tracked by BNC SalesData.The auction will happen in late July and all you have to do is be there! BookNet Canada will provide the list of titles and help you choose the rules of the game.
